I’m always finding new and interesting speakers from TED. TED presents talks from innovative thinkers assembled from around the world. These talks often stimulate debate, showcase new ideas, and point towards the future with inventions. Sir Ken Robinson’s talk, while not new, is no exception. Ken Robinson believes that schools are educating students out of creativity. The usefulness of a subject is the measurement of its importance. This said, he proposes that the current approach not only stifles creativity, it may also deny mankind of some of its greatest talents.
Take a look at this excerpt of his 2006 talk. If you want the full version, you will find it here.
How does technology impact our students creativity? In what ways might it be holding them back? We look forward to hearing your thoughts and comments…
